The FM scale is active; the AM markings preserve the original face. Ten original instrumental recordings are included: two per station, played in sequence. Volume and tuning knobs work by touch, mouse and keyboard. Closing the cover stops all sound.
There’s another circuit inside. Hold preset 3 for three seconds, then turn past 108 FM. Keyboard: hold Space or Enter on preset 3. Squelch cuts weak signals and static.
All scanner traffic is fictional, set in an imagined 1980s Arkansas county. No live police frequencies are accessed. Dispatch transcripts appear during playback.
